About
The Rio Grande Valley Healthcare Preparedness Coalition’s (RGVHPC) primary responsibility is to improve surge capacity and enhance community and healthcare systems preparedness for public health emergencies, assist participating healthcare facilities systems preparedness for public health emergencies, assist participating healthcare facilities in the Rio Grande Valley Region in the implementation and review to comprehensive preparedness and response plans, to serve the healthcare delivery systems and public health needs of the region in the event of an All Hazards event and to evaluate and make recommendations supporting operations involving RGVHPC.
MISSION & SCOPE
The mission and scope of the RGVHPC is to encourage collaborative healthcare community planning and emergency preparedness to natural and man-made disasters affecting the Rio Grande Valley region by providing an aligned forum for persons, businesses, healthcare entities, and response agencies from within or surrounding the geographic boundaries of TSA/HCC-V.
